Yiannis Kontoyiannis

Yiannis has joined Fortified Capital Ltd in June 2021 and is a Risk Manager in the Risk Management Department. He has over 13 years of working experience in different positions in Audit & Assurance, Advisory, Restructuring and Insolvency, where he has gained extensive experience in business management and risk management of private companies including real estate companies. During his time in Audit & Assurance, he has undertaken a number of assignments including valuations, due diligence, internal controls reviews and other review assignments as well as the supervision of key statutory audit assignments for local and international clients. He was involved in various advisory assignments for local businesses, including business valuations (including calculations of the Net Present Value (NPV) and Discounted Cash Flows (DCF)), receivership assignments, business restructurings and preparation of debt restructuring plans. He also has hands-on experience in the provision of advisory services to financial institutions with regards to implementing appropriate policies and controls for non-performing loans, review of assets (real estate) portfolio and other internal control assignments. Yiannis is a holder of the Advanced Professional Competency Certificate for all investment services issued by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a qualified accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC). He holds a BSc in Business Administration with major in Finance from the University of Cyprus and a MSc in Digital Currencies from the University of Nicosia.
